Brian Bass
President & Founding Director
Brian Bass is the president and founding director of Hope Builders Foundation. Through his role as a general superintendent for a large commercial construction management firm, Brian has honed his expertise in overseeing complex projects, fostering and leading teams, overcoming challenges, and delivering exceptional results.
It was through his professional role that Brian developed a strong working relationship with Lester Tejeda and Hunter West, built on mutual respect and appreciation for their exceptional performance. This grew even stronger as Lester's companies provided many skilled employees with roots in Central America—hard-working, gifted individuals with unwavering positive attitudes who made significant contributions to shared projects. These qualities encouraged Brian to participate in a transformative trip to Guatemala in December 2023, where he helped build and donate a fully furnished home to a family in need, alongside medical outreach events that highlighted the region's challenges. This experience ignited a profound passion and compassion for the Guatemalan people, inspiring the founding directors to create Hope Builders Foundation.
Lester Tejeda
Visionary, Treasurer, & Founding Director
Lester Tejeda is the visionary leader, treasurer, and founding director of Hope Builders Foundation. Born and raised in Guatemala, Lester immigrated to the United States over a decade ago and proudly became a U.S. citizen, blending his rich cultural heritage with his entrepreneurial spirit.
As a successful business owner and industry leader, Lester has built a thriving career while never forgetting his roots. His passion for philanthropy stems from a deep commitment to giving back to the communities that shaped him, regularly supporting those in need through charitable initiatives. Lester's guiding principle—"remember where you came from"—drives his unwavering dedication to creating positive, lasting impacts in Guatemala's areas of greatest need.
In December 2023, Lester organized and assembled the core team that laid the foundation for Hope Builders Foundation. Through his compassion for his people, his sharing of their culture, and his demonstration of the needs and challenges in Guatemala, he inspired others to join in bringing hope to those communities. Under his leadership and vision, the entire team is driven to build hope through our projects and create lasting change for the people we serve in central America.
Hunter West
Secretary & Founding Director
Hunter West is the secretary and founding director of Hope Builders Foundation. As an experienced leader in electrical installations for a large commercial construction firm, Hunter has excelled in managing critical project components, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality outcomes.
Since partnering with Lester Tejeda and Brian Bass, Hunter has developed a strong professional bond rooted in mutual respect and appreciation for their shared work on various construction projects. He has worked hand in hand with Lester's dedicated trades personnel—hard-working, skilled individuals with positive attitudes who consistently elevate team performance.
In December 2023, Hunter joined a life-changing trip to Guatemala, where he contributed to building and donating a fully furnished home to a family in need, complemented by medical outreach events that addressed pressing community health needs. This experience ignited a deep passion and compassion for the Guatemalan people, motivating him to co-found Hope Builders Foundation. Hunter's expertise and heartfelt dedication continue to fuel the organization's mission, driving impactful changes that foster hope and resilience in underserved communities.
