Empowering the Students of Las Piedritas with Play, Sports, and Future Opportunities
On April 26, 2025, Hope Builders completed our first major support event in Guatemala. By the grace of God, the support of many individuals, and the leadership of Lester Tejeda, the entire community of Las Piedritas was blessed. We provided the school with a place to play outside, an outdoor gym area, a space for assemblies and sports competitions, new sports equipment, and even treated the entire school to McDonald’s. The joy on the children’s faces filled our hearts, and we left with a renewed promise to return and build a new technology center. This upcoming building will house a modern computer lab to equip teachers, expand students’ knowledge and skills, and open the door to new opportunities for their future.
